Meet Jesse White
Candidate for Illinois Secretary Of State
Jesse White was born and raised in Centralia, Illinois, where he currently resides. His oldest son, 25, also resides in Centralia, where he is an artist at a very reputable tattoo shop in Centralia. Jesse shares his two younger sons, 14 and 11, with their mother. They now live in her hometown of Kinmundy, Illinois. His fiancé Wendy is from Salem, Illinois. Her children, 16 and 14, are currently living in Salem until completion of this school year.
Jesse graduated from Centralia High School and graduated with honors from Kaskaskia College where he earned an Associates of Arts degree with a focus in English. Jesse has worked as a material handler for an automotive manufacturing company for 22 years. Jesse has an entrepreneurial spirit. He built and managed a successful D.J. business from 2003 until 2020.
Jesse is also an active member of the community. He was a mentor for the Young Musicians Project in Centralia for 6 years. His niche is teaching guitar and sound mixing. Through mentorship, he helped youth spark creativity, develop confidence and learn the value of commitment. These are skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
He was also an assistant coach for a youth baseball team that had back-to-back undefeated seasons, winning the city title both years.
In 2007, White began rehabbing condemned homes in Central City and Centralia to bring community spirit back to old neighborhoods. He has built an excellent reputation with neighbors, government officials and local police.
